Start off with Larry Chijner's Caddy. This thing is a work of art!!!

The trunk it fully motorized and all kinds of panels flip and slide out. The pistol grip in the center console is the remote control. He also rigged up some track and volume controls to go on the arm rest of the passenger side door!

He also has speakers on the outside of the car in various spots because he has a pre-recorded demonstration so when he does Intall, he turns it on and a narrator starts talking about all the stuff while he walks around and points to it.

He also had a 12" sub mounted flush in the floor board!

This is Matt Roberts truck. This is the best paint job I have EVER seen in my entire life!!

His install is also unreal. Scanspeak everything. 7" midbass in the floor, 4" mids a tweeters in the dash. Not 100% sure of the sub but its in the center console. And yes that is REAL granite! Even the cutout around the midbasses are real granite.

This truck sounded awesome! This thing would get so loud that your eyelids would blow back but still be ultra clean!

    He used Zapco amps.

Here are a couple of the SPL'ers.

Yup, those are 2, 10,000 watt Hifonics amps! He hit a 163.4 I believe.

The Blazer did a 164.8 and took 1st.

Here is Alma Gates Bronco. She's like 80 and still competes in car audio!

    Got alternators?

Just as an aside, that Powerwheels thing there is for MECA kids. They take little kids and their Powerwheels and slap some subs and amps on there and then they do SPL! That one belongs to my teammates, Kirk Proffitt's kid. He took a DD 12", some Orion HCCA amps, 4, 5.25" mids and a pair of horns and played Sweet Home Alabama thru it! He did 123!! On a Powerwheels!

The first pic is the trunk of Kirk Proffitt's Acura. 3 big **** Zapco's!

The next one is the back of Andy Jones' truck. One of the SQ judges, Keith Turner, thought he'd have some fun with him.

Then the trophys on the stage.

This is Team Schil Acoustics with all our trophies for the night.

Starting from the left- me, Richard Paladino, Scott Selvidge, David Hogan, Ricky McConnel, Kirk Proffitt and Andy Jones.

The guy kneeling on the left is Chris Cosgray and the kid is Kirk's son, Gavin.

The guy and girl on the right arent team members but are friends of ours, Jeff Golomb and his girl. He has the red Eclipse with all the Sony gear in the random pics.

David Hogan is a machine! He is the best tuner Ive ever ran up on. He stayed up all night pretty much every night tuning his truck and others (not mine because Im the only one without a processor :( ).

Paul Davoren is a member but I think he was a little pissed off cause he got 4th so he split pretty quick and didnt get in the picture.

    Not really.

I was in a stock class which meant pretty much using stock speaker locations.

My mids are in my doors, my tweeters are in the A pillars and the sub box is under the rear seat along with the amps. Its actually a very boring install! :o

I am going to be redoing the entire thing and I do have to admit I would like to have something a little worthy of showing off.

Wow, I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread; must've come up while I was taking my 'break'.

Thos are some awesome looking rides!! While a little over the roof, that Caddy is amazing. Can't imagine how many hours went into that install. And then the door switches for the volume - that's great! What does the 'tracking' switch do, though?

And granite in the pickup? Granite? And in an old, ~94 Chevy? Wow, not your typical install, there.

2 10,000 watt amps? Wow...didn't know Hifonics made anything that big. And SPL comp with powerwheels?? That's great!! ROFL

Though he's stuffed it with Sony gear, your bud's Eclipse has a pretty sweet install, too.

And congrats on the second place!! Flashy install or not, you're wiping the floor with your SR's...be proud of it! Second's great!

Is Polk not banging down your door, trying to sponsor you?? :p

Nice pictures Mac. Probably just me, but not digging the Caddy. I can appreciate the time and effort put into it, but I am one of the guys that thinks a car's main function is for transportation. The audio equipment should not get in the way of hauling gear to the beach and such. Heck, maybe I am just getting older..... or maybe just more conservatice than I thought :D.

I prefer that too but when he could hit a button and everything would fold away and he had compelete use of his trunk!

The only thing that would get in the way would be the 12" sub in the floorboard!

I lug around stuff to the beach all the time. I don't think that I could ever get all the sand out of my car's trunk even if I wanted to :D. I don't see that trunk being used in that way :).
