Another excellent video. Patrick blind tests power cables and makes a horrifying discovery. He knew it though, because he could hear the edginess and lack of bass from the listening test. All he had to do was to find the culprit, and by God he would do just that.

Patrick is for real, he's been around for awhile. Sometimes there is a fine line between a real tweak and a 'moronic tweak', but all that really matters is that if somebody's widget makes their system sound better to them, then more power to 'em.

However, I want to know more about that clear sausage casing that the wires are bundled inside of, and would it be better to put the ERS paper in the casing.

That looks like the clear wrapper that Mapleshade uses on their ICs & power cables.

    I love this one.
Ears are the weaknesses, I can't hear enough detail from real life, I want much more. Any ideas how to improve them? Any mods?

I want to bypass the ears! How do I do it? Is there a device that can be purchased?

His necessary "detail" DO NOT EXIST! How to improve your ears is to take care of them because once damaged, there is no way to reverse the damage even with surgery. An act of the Almighty is necessary.

I have directly connected really good ICs from a Spectral pre to Crown amps in the late 80s (I just remembered, I tried with Phase Linear amps also) and heard absolutely no difference at all. I even tried measuring sound pressure and frequency response and it showed no change. I soldiered my Spectal & Crowns back to normal and never thought of doing that ever again. Maybe with the improvements in ICs there may be a difference but I'll never find out.

IMO this guy is a real ****.

The best thing about this guy is he's bought about $30,000 on interconnects and speakerwires...

Now, I know they have resale value on the market...

BUT, this guy - being the IDIOT that he is - cuts up the interconnects, removes the plugs, and slices up the speaker wires to differing thickness and length... basically BUTCHERS the little guys !

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's just like throwing $30,000 into the wind.... it's of no value whatsoever.

Let me find the link to that post...

That video on youtube is f*cked up! Looked like some weird witchcraft ritual thing going on. Why was he whispering though the entire video?

Patrick isn't the only seriously messed up "audiophile" out there. Here's a little something for him... http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina41.htm

Anybody wanna start a business with me selling small packages of butt nuggets for the extreme audiophiles? We'll claim that it increases clarity.

I recommend putting the Clever Little Clock on a cable riser, but first fill the cable riser with Magic Pebbles.

    Noel,
He's Swedish. The pic on the first page (or second?) is him. I got subtitles in the video.

    Chris,
Now that's some crazy stuff. This tweaking insanity is getting into the organic stuff now.

I got the subtitles, too. All I could really hear was his rolling of the Rs. Couldn't make out much more than that.

I love this company, not only do they sell specialized pebbles and clocks that improve the sound just by being in the room but they also sell specialized dampened duplex covers and the "Intelligent Chip".

"The Intelligent Chip is placed on top of the player for 2 seconds while the disc to be treated is playing. The disc is permanently upgraded. The treated disc will sound clearer, more dynamic."

    E.R.S. paper for audio tweaking?

    No, no, no!

Good heavens, doesn't he know that stuff is for Extreme Rectal Scrubbing only for crying out loud!

If he wants a real audio tweak, he should do what I do.... spray Ready Whip inside my electronic components before a session for a really smooth and creamy sound. (Cool Whip will work just as well, it's just harder to apply.:p )
