This TV is getting a lot cheaper than it was a few months ago. If you live near a Fry's, you can get it for $1290 + tax or you can get one from Amaz0n for $1331 with no tax and $75 delivery. I refuse to shop at Wal*Mart, but they have it also for around $1300 plus tax. IMO, this is the best 42" HDTV plasma you can buy.

I picked this up at a local Chesterfield, VA CC on 11/13. They matched the Tweeter (~67 miles away at Fredericksburg, VA) of $1299.99 and gave an additional 10% of difference. Excellent deal. I am not too crazy about the standard TV channel quality. I do not get all the cable channels that I get with the Comcast tuner that is connected to another TV in the house. I am still learning its features, though!

What is this suppose to mean?? There is usually a break-in period for roughly the first 100hrs use on a plasma which you don't crank the brightness controls or view it in "torch" mode.
