Somebody over at AK just reported that free Monitor 7's with stands didn't last long on the San Francisco CL.
Steve? Beardog? Either of you boys get lucky or what?

Sorry to hear you didn't get to make the trip over to Berserkly.

Not me. I only visit that planet when absolutely necessary.

Best party I ever went to was the 1978 Hooker's Ball. That was the year they got so many requests for tix, that at the last minute they had to change the venue to The Cow Palace. I was attending an Air Force school at Castle AFB down in the valley (Merced) from Sep 78 to Feb 79. I drove up to the city every weekend. It was great. I was single, under 30, and AIDS hadn't been invented yet, in a town that has no shortage of gorgeous babes. PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those were the days George! The '70's with the free love, peace movement, liberated women and lots of good lovin'! The clap was the worst thing you could get then. I never got that stuff, I managed to stay out of Southeast Asia thank God!Carl

Yup. Feel bad for the kids these days. Not a clue as to what they missed during the late 60's and early 70's. Don't even get me started on the lack of role models that they don't have, but that we did. The Zappa's, The Hendrix's and such.

A lot of the kids have never even heard of the events or people in those years. Funny, when I was young I was aware of people/events/fads... that my parents were exposed to. I guess times are changing. Man do I miss the 70's.Michael
