I just finished version 1.0 of my Home Theatre (who am I kidding, I'll never be done).
You can check out some pictures here
It uses the following Polk Audio speakers:
1 pair of RTA-12Cs (Front)
1 CSI-5 (Center)
4 RC-85i (side and rear surrounds)
Well, there is one non-Polkie in the group: a Sunfire True Sub Mk IV.

Thanks everyone.
Those RTA-12Cs have been with me since 1986 through 20 years in the Navy. They sound better than ever. -

I recommend the 990 unless you require HDMI switching (outlaw supports strictly DVI at the moment). It is an absolute bargain for that class of processor.
The 990 is a completely different platform than the 970 and does not suffer from some of the known problems of the 970 (most of which are detailed in the 970 forum at outlawaudio.com). One word of caution, the 990 is H-U-G-E. I had the tear up the back of my cabinet and modify the shelves to fit it in.
By the way, thanks everyone for your compliments. -

Welcome. Very, very nice setup. Just curious where you acquired the acoustic panels?Michael
In the beginning, all knowledge was new!
NORTH of 60° -
The acoustic panels came from truesoundcontrol.com.
The Oppo 970 is everything I wanted. It is the best DVD picture I have ever had. If you are more into video than audio (i.e. don't mind doing without SACD), then I have been told you should go for the 971 with the Faroudja DCDi. Not that the 970's video is any slouch either.
I am more of a sound guy and, after listening to Mozart's Requiem in multi-channel SACD in my new room only once, I feel I got my money's worth out of the Oppo 970. -
WOW!! Very nice and clean setup. I'll bet it sounds as good as it looks.

Well, I am now inspired to head downstairs and get hell-a-effin-going
on my basement! Thanks for the motivational photos! VERY nice. So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Very clean. I like it. Where did you get the treatment panels and bass traps?
