I just bought this cd player and i am very happy with it. the Prima sounds sweet but at the same time it is very detailed and is not rolled off at the top. it uses a pair the 6021 subminiature tubes soldered directly to the circuit board of the output buffer section. it sounds very smooth without any digital harshness and does a fine job playing my redbook cd's. the Prima Mk2 is a keeper.:) thanks....WCW III

Congrats!!! Sounds like you're really enjoying it. Nothing like the mellowness of tubes. That's a true sign of a top notch player when it doesn't present any of that nasty digital glare & harshness.
