Am I the only one looking forward to seeing this movie? I didn't see Talladaga Nights but I do like Will Ferrell's comedy. If you haven't seen Elf, I think its definitely worth a rental. I might pick up the dvd for the holidays this year.

I've read in the reviews that this is Will Ferrell's "Truman Show". I'm not a fan of Jim Carrey but I did like that movie.

I've got my hopes up that this will be funny and original. Can't wait for the matinee on Saturday.

So, anybody else see this flick yet?

I went with my wife last weekend, and let me just say, if you are even slightly a fan of Will Ferrell, you have to see this. It was extremely original, and what I would call, A dark comedy. Excellent acting, excellent plot, plenty of humor without being overboard, and just an all around emotional movie.

I wouldn't call it a straight comedy, but more of a funny drama. I was pleasantly surprised. I won't spoil any of it, but it will be a must buy for me.

    Rating: A

I have a friend in Austin, been to the Alamo a few times with her, and I agree. That place is the balls.

We have a similar concept up here called "Chunky's", but it's NOWHERE near as good as the Alamo. Mostly because they don't serve beer, and their food sucks.

Love the DLP. I really have no complaints. I had one instance about a month into having it where it was shutting itself off. Samsung sent someone to my house the next day and replaced the whole ... internals.

    So, very happy with it.

finally got to see it over the weekend. very enjoyable movie. I'm glad to see Will Ferrell do something other than an over the top Ricky Bobby/Anchorman silly comedy.

You laugh, you cry... full circle on this one.

A worthy addition to your DVD collection.

Agreed, I thought this movie was really entertaining. "Touching" without being too overly cheesy.

And that Maggie Gyllenhal is just cute as hell, isn't she?

Will Ferrell was great, should have gotten an Oscar nomination for his part, Dustin Hoffmen was funny to.

Anyone in Texas watch movies here? It is the only way to watch movies.

Watched many a movies at Alamo Draft House during my time at UT Austin. Maybe not the best way to critically watch a film, but putting down a bucket of beers with some buds makes a decent - bad movie that much more enjoyable.

They have some Studio Movie Grills in Dallas, but just doesn't seem the same.

Will Ferrell is already qualified for some type of lifetime achievement award.

Did you guys see the performance he did at the beginning of the Oscars? I couldn't agree with it more. Poor comedy actors get the shaft every time.
