New guy here seeking advise. Let me say first off I'm not an audio fanatic, just looking for clear, clean sound. I'm 50 years old and the old ears are beat to death from blasting those underpowered car stereos back in the seventies! :D I have a tendancy to play my music loud just to hear everything!

I'm replacing the stereo system in my 20' ski boat and have decided to go with either the DB650 or MMC650's with a Pioneer head unit (22rms/52peak). My question is which would be a better choice? I know both are marine rated and are of excellent quality so is the sound that much greater between the two?

the mmc650's seem to be the all around better choice. the DB650's have been known to be a little too trebly when its turned up high. i would go with the mmc650s. they can also handle more RMS power and have more midrange.

I'm currently using the MMC650 for my fronstage and absolutely love it!

    Highly recommend it!
