9's on the way...
Finally ordered a pair of Lsi9's for HT. I always wanted a pair, but didn't get them because of the 4 ohm issue with receivers. I also bought a 5-channel amp to power them (Acurus A125x5).
This is it -- no more audio purchases for a while. Really. I'm not kidding.

Congrats Early. You will love them. Try the 2CH thing after the break-in. As for the statement above - RIGHT! That's what my wife always says.Michael

Hmmm. Didn't consider that. OK, I'll do it. It'll be in three weeks, though. The 9's don't arrive until next week and I gotta give them time to break in.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Now that I finally got my tweeters at the right height (although in totally Mickey Mouse fashion), the 9's are more dazzling than ever, particularly on vocals. I recently listened to "Belafonte at Carnegie Hall," an amazing recording, as well as a Diana Krall compendium I put together. The latter even includes some less-than-stellar MP3's from a file-sharing site. The quality of the vocal reproduction is almost spooky. "Smooth" doesn't begin to describe it. Maybe "silky" is better. Incredible at any rate.:pEarly B. wrote:Finally ordered a pair of Lsi9's for HT. I always wanted a pair, but didn't get them because of the 4 ohm issue with receivers.
