use arc audio 4050xxk or jl 300/4?

i have sr6500's and just bought a arc 4050xxk. i just got a super deal on a used jl audio 300/4. i dont know if i should use the arc or the jl amp. how is the sound quality on jl amps. they are supposed be pretty solid amps. let me know if anyone uses jl amps. i have got to just say no on these amps, its getting crazy. also, doesnt the arc amp use bipolar transisters and the jl mosfets and is there a big difference in sound?

    I like the crossovers on the JL. Plus Ive been a JL fan for about 10 years so Id go with them.

    the arc amp will probably be in before the jl so i will try the arc and take a listen. the jl dose have some very nice crossovers , but i wont use the because i have an audiocontrol dqsx.after about a week or so i will swap the arc for the jl and see how it sounds. the power difference only works out to 1.7db so thats not a big issue, ill see if the transistors make a difference. do bjt transistors really make that much of a difference?

    Although 25wrms difference might be negligible in some cases, you might notice more output out of the JL at higher volumes, depending on where you cross your drivers on the low end, not that the SR's can go that low anyways. I've installed both amps, you really can't go wrong with either, the flexibility on these amps is second to none. Nice thing about the ARC is that it has a built in RTOL delay if you ever run into pops, like the JL sometimes does.

    i have mine crossed at 80hz and they get down and dirty. if i like the arc as much as i think i will ill just sell the amp or give it to my girlfriend and get my us amps tu-4360 back. i will need a spare amp right? ha ha!!!

    well i got the arc amp today and im going to install it tomorrow morning. ill let you know how things sound. the jl amp is at the post office, but i cant pick it up tomorrow because of veterens day. that arc amp sure is pretty!!:D

    well i got the amp in and it sounds great! now for some tuning to dial this puppy in. ive got to dust off the old oscope and get it warmed up to set those gains right. i love getting new amps!

    well i have the amp dialed in and have been listening to it and it is one of the best sounding amps i ever had. VERY clean sound and great power for such a small amp. arc did a great job on this amp!:)
