Since I've gotten older (36), video games don't interest me as much anymore. I have a PS2 and it isn't played all that much anymore. Although I finished Bully this weekend...first game I've played in awhile..maybe my interest is coming back a little..
But I can't wait to play this game tonight!!!
I love the song list..

I looked into this and could not beleive the positive reviews on it. IGN gave it a 9.5/10. 25 reviewers gave it a least 4.5/5. Best music game to ever hit any console. If you like rock and have ever played one chord from an "air guitar", than this is the funniest, most adictive game to play.
GH1 sales were slow because people were intemadated. When word of mouth started speading on the internet, it instantly went platinium.
I am interested to play this to say the least......

Let me know how you like it. They say it is worth dusting off the PS2 for!!!!!!! -
I have the first one and can honestly say, I've never had more fun playing a video game...I actually play guitar a little and this is the perfect game for me or anyone who has ever wished they were in a rock band...as corny as that sounds..
Here's an idea as to how popular this game is: I just picked up the game during my lunch break at Gamestop and there were 4 people in my line ahead of me...a guy in his 50's, a young kid in his teens, a guy in his mid 20's and me (36)...we all were getting Guitar Hero II:DPioneer Elite VSX-53, Polk RT800i fronts, Polk CS400i center, FX500i surround, Velodyne sub -
Screw these new gen consoles.;)
I just bought Guitar Hero I and II. Just got the cordless HAMMER guitar fresh stock from Wal-Mart. It works with both games. Me and my girlfriend are having a freaking blast. Standing up infront of the 10.5' screen, just jamming away. Have the system cranked up. Very good tunes on both games. It is so adictive and you just get better and better. Nailing tough cords and playing a multiplayer is the most fun have had on a video game in a long time.
More GH products on the way in December.
With FF12 and games like God of War 2 on the way, i am pretty happy.
Also bought the portiable screen for them slim unit and watched movies on my recent 18 hour road trip.
I can't believe were on a audio forum and almost noone even knows this game exist.

As for the unlockable bonus tracks, RedOctane tells us that it wants to keep those songs a secret until release as to not spoil everything for the fans. Sounds good to us, though we're certainly interested to know simply what caliber of tracks will be included. Good things come to those who wait however, and luckily we have less than a month to do so. -
So I went to best buy to today to pick up a few movies (had to get the office space special edition on sale:D ). Anyways, I checked out the games section and they had guitar hero hooked up. Along with some great songs, this game was very fun to play(much better than that **** donky konga crap, nice try nintendo). I ended up spending at least 45 minutes playing it. I am not really a fan of those rhythm games, but whenever I'm "rockin" Sweet Child of mine, I can't help but love it:cool: . Now I am finally (after 4 years) regretting I sold my ps2... very fun game
Oh, by the way. If any of you care. Those insignia speakers that most considered a great bargain, are now 80.00(which still isn't bad I guess). I got them for 35.00, I guess BB and insignia finally wised up...AVR: H/K AVR240

It's more fun with the guitar, and for me it's easier, but I might not be the best gauge since I have played for many years.
-
I only played GHII a little bit when a friend brought his over, but I am hooked. It is a must buy for me for the 360.
-
It's a cool game... as long as you are not a guitar player
Being such, I find it very boring -
If some can easily nail 100% with 5 frets with little to no pratice, if your not a rock star your in the wrong business........... IMHO

Well, I think I will be getting this game too. Since I own pretty much every other game for the 360, and this game gets ridiculous reviews, I might as well.
I'm going to have to close the blinds when I play though. I don't want my neighbors watching me. -

I don't know about the downloadable content pricing structure, though.
3 songs for $6.25? and you have to buy them in 3's..
so if you were to buy all of GH I songs (45 or so), it would cost you almost $100..

Just a bit more expensive than iTunes. *shrug*
