Hi guys, I'm a newbie to this forum, and I would appreciate some help to complete my 7.1 setup. I'm hesitating between a rx-v2600 or a rx-v659 with 2Behringer A500 to drive my Rti10.

here is the setup: Rti10 (front)
Csi5 (center)
Fxi5 (surround)
Rti8 (back surround)
Hsu VTF-3 MK2 (sub)

My room is 14*24*8, and it's for 70% home theater use.

Advice will be greatly appreciated.

That would be one hell of a set up. Since the Rti10's are 8 ohm you can bridge the A500 giving you 500 watts. One A500 per speaker & you will be in HT heaven. The A500's get great reviews especially for the money. Buy them from a dealer that gives a 30 day return policy. Give them a workout & if you don't like the set up send them back. But I'll bet you keep them.

I'm not familiar with the A500, but the 2600 certainly has better processing and connections than the 659. I think I'd go with the better receiver now and if you feel the need for an amp down the road, you can do that then.
