I entered the CMA's (CEPro Marketing Awards) soon after I returned from the CEDIA Expo. I took a few of my "business cards" with me to get people to remember me. I've got standard business cards as well, but this makes me stand out in the crowd a little bit. Since I had such good response to the popcorn box, I

Anyway, I had almost forgotten about it, until I received this email this afternoon:

I don't know what I won, but I am pretty excited that my idea actually catches people's attention. I'm also guessing, since the names are not in alphabetical order, that I won first in that division, but they may go in the other order. All I care about is that I WON SOMETHING :eek:

As far as the category, it doesn't really qualify as a standard business card, but it was the closest I could come up with.

It was created in Vectorworks and Indesign, printed on a high quality color laserjet, then hand cut and folded.

There are a couple different avenues for this type of marketing for me, such as leaving them at different installations for proud new theater owners to pass along to their friends. Or, I might go door to door with them, to garner up even more business.

Anyway, back to work;)

    After reading the article, I don't know if it has actually been "judged" as the winner, but I would think my chances are pretty good.

    As far as people interested in getting a sample, email me at holcombavt@gmail.com if you are interested. Remember, I have to cut each of these out by hand, and they aren't free for me, so I can't give everyone one of them. I'm not asking for people to buy them, but I just don't have the resources to make 1000's of them at a time.

    I have been trying to think of a way to market the business cards, so I could justify getting a die cut for several at a time. I would think this same idea could be utilized for several different businesses, but I will work on that a little bit at a time.
