I was going back to my office this afternoon from my jobsite when I passed an airport police SUV, two Chicago PD motorcycles and a hearse. At first I was confused, wondering why there was a hearse with a police escort coming off of the cargo road when the cemetery is right by my jobsite (I work for a construction company at O'Hare airport). After my initial confusion, I noticed an SUV full of Marines behind the hearse and realized that this was one of our heroes coming home for the last time. I am only guessing, but I believe that it was Marine Pvt. Edwardo Lopez, http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-0610310282oct31,1,3755969.story?coll=chi-news-hed. Kind of puts things in perspective.
