Boy.... can't wait to get my ears wrapped on this guy!

I hope the Minis live up to their hype and show my Summits a thing or two about audio reproduction. I'm going to power this guy with everything I got and see what the Strata hoopla is all about.

Dont really know how this "deal" happened, but MLS is sending me his personal pair of Minis straight to me... maybe he confused me for John Atkinson of Stereophile or something.

Oh well... I cant refuse free! I say, bring on the audio gear!!

    It should be here next friday.... no no no... the Summits are not being replaced! The Mini is going to be put through the paces and we'll see how it handles against the big boy Electrostat.

    Regardless of how it handles, I'll be putting up a review on the AV123 forum. I think I'm getting the Mini before anyone else will, so I think Mark wants me to do the review ASAP so if I gush over it, it might just swing a sale or 2 his way.

    Either way.... it's all good.

    Joey, you mean Mark is sending it to you for a demo for free, not to keep (as in yours) right?

    Anyways, I look forward to your review. I have 750sigs which I enjoy...I had 250 MK1s as well but they didnt hold a candle to LSi7s so I just sold them....either way, you are going to be impressed with the finish on Onix...

    The only thing I don't like (on paper), is that the woofer section is powered.

    Lsi9 am I wrong? I thought that the mini stratas just shipped from the factory to 12 people just two days ago. How did you have them in your rig for a week?

    Joey,

    I cannot wait for your review. Though I know that these speakers are just geared toward two channel listening and not HT (thus have no use to me), I am interested in the company AV123.

    Yeah the mini stratas were debuted at the Rocky Mountain Audio fest played on very inexpensive equipment in a fairly small room. The premise here was to show everyone how they would sound with everyday equipment. Problem was that many had mixed reviews because of this setup. I noticed on the AV123 forum that many very loyal AV123 members were not that impressed with the stratas in this configuration. Some to the point of even considering cancelling their orders. I am sure Mark would love to know what an audiophile thinks about them in a more optimum setting with better equipment.

    Give us a good unbiased review!
