Polk Marketing Research Forum: Looking for Volunteers

Next Thursday, Nov 2nd, we will be starting a 7-day invitation-only forum focusing on a marketing/product research topic. Like all forums, it will be interactive but, in this case, I will "moderate," that is, get us back on track if we wander to far afield.

Generally speaking, the topic is Home Audio and its uses and availability around the home. We could be discussing devices, networks, sources, needs, speakers (duh) and other things as they occur to us.

I am looking for 4 or 5 volunteers from Club Polk. But wait...before you volunteer, you need to be interested, available and committed to actively participating daily in this research for the full seven day term, beginning next Thursday morning ending around midnight on Wednesday Nov 8th. Also, you must accept a binding non-disclosure agreement. At the end of the forum's term, you will rewarded for your time.

Interested? Here's what you need to do.

1. Indicate your interest in a post to this thread.
2. If you haven't already joined Audiothinking. com, you need to go to www.audiothinking.com and join.
3. If you've been selected from among the volunteers for this research forum, you will get an email from me (Al Ballard) or Monica Robles before the end of day on Monday. By the way, if you're not selected this time, sit tight...there will be other opportunities soon.

Since it's only 4 or 5 people needed, I guess I'm a tad too late but I'd be interested in participating.

Oh yeah, joined audiothinking months ago when the invitation first went out.

OK. Here's the deal. Monday morning, I will select the five. To be totally obective, I'll run a random number generator. Your number will reflect the order in which you volunteered so Brett's number 1, seo is 2, and so on for everyone who has volunteered before Monday morning 9am est.

By the way...volunteering again will not get you another number, so don't even think about it.

Thanks for the interest. If this forum works as well as I expect, there will be many more on a wide variety of topics.

Good luck. I'll post the list here on Monday.

    Al

P.S. Matt makes me stay on topic.

I had a PM that asked for some clarification on the level of commitment. I thought you all might benefit.

Participants will not need to available at the drop of a hat. There will be new topics, questions and conversations throughout the day and evening (I plan to devote most of my week to this) but you can probably keep up and contribute if you login at least once a day - more will be better. This research format is experimental, for me anyway, so I'll know more about it at the end.
