The seller claims they are 1.2's, but they are SRS's as they have the blade/blade cable. I told him so, yet he ignored that info and didn't correct his ad. The buyer hit the BIN for $1850.00...ouch!

The buyer might stay blissfully unaware. He may also not know the difference nor care.

i guess no real crime was committed if you think about it.. maybe the buyer did know what he was getting afterall.. and just had a big hardon for the SRS's. Who knows.

I think the seller should have come clean in his auction since you did email and tell him what he had though.

Like they say.. Let the buyer beware.

Other than the issue of using non-common ground amps it really doesn't matter. I actually prefer my SDA-SRS over the 1.2's. I have both, I use the SDA-SRS while the 1.2's sit in the closet.

Also, different crossover, different cabinet construction, different SDA drivers and the SRS's don't cost as much.

We all have to start somewhere, but the buyer had zero feedback. They may come back again.

Different is the key word here. In the 1.2's and 1.2TL's the cabinent is stiffer and the crossover was much simplified. Same driver construction but the crossover required a different coil resistance. But you are correct, the SRS doesn't bring quite as much in the market place. In the end though a person could end up more happy with the SRS. Or maybe not. :)

It used to be a walk in, until I stuck the SDA's in there. Now it has a small space on top of each speaker where I can sit a pair of slippers or something. :D

Chuck, I'm not implying anything bad towards the SRS's, they are great speakers. All I'm saying is that the buyer thinks and has paid the higher price for a pair of speakers that he's not getting.

Good one! Even if he is "only" getting SRS's, knowing what I know now, I'd pay that for a pair ready to roll, shipping aside...Where else can you get that kind of sound for under 2 G's? And, as our friend said, you get the custom coffins. I was actually most impressed with those. Let's see Fed Ex try to throw those ****!

What are the cabinets behind the SRSs in the first shot??

Have to admit, dude crates them up nicely. Would have been about right, if the shipping was included.
