I don't have any of their recordings, but I am going to buy some soon. What are the two or three best recordings by them?

TIA

Scott

I like Lonely Runs Both Ways and Live. Forget About It is okay, but there are a couple songs where she just doesn't sound quite on target with the melody of the song.

I have "Live with the Union Station" in SACD and it sounds fantastic! This album is also available on heavy vinyl.

Get the "O Brother Where Art Thou" Soundtrack - It is AK and Union Station.

Agree with everyone, AK and Union Station are quite a band, these musicians have it going on, there is enough variance in the music to make the albums very interesting, the recent vinyl gives wood.

Every time I hear her sing the line "as I stride in rythym" I get impure thoughts. Live with Union Station is my current favorite.

Whichever one has "Oh Atlanta" on it!

I cant stand it as its whiney country but it is about the best recorded song in history. Ive heard of more than a few people that have tuned their entire systems to that one song and have gone on to win World Championships in SQ.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.................you ought to hear it with a set of quality interconnects...................the sweet whine will bring you down on your knees and make your tongue just slap your brains out.

Alison really likes the sad song, she is the Aimee Mann of bluegrass, except her vocals are more pure than AM. Oh Atlanta is definetly one of the happier tracks along with the Lucky One tune.

I dig her New Favorite and Ghost in this House tracks along with the acapello Down to the River.

If you like traditional bluegrass gospel, her 10 year or so old CD with the Cox family "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" is great.

Picked up New Favorite and So Long, So Wrong.

So far, really like both of them.

I've always been a bit of bluegrass fan since my college Radio days..

    Thanks for the suggestions.
