I'll beat Noel to it this time!

Arkansas 38, Ole Miss 3

These are from last weekend. My son's first Razorback game: The game was a blow-out, but it was homecoming, and it was fun to watch him enjoy the experience. Great seats, too. If I'd known they would have let me in with a more serious-looking lens, I could have gotten some good pictures of the game.

Too bad Arkansas got off to a bad start else they would be a good contender this year. They are definitely the giant killers right now.

Beating up on Ole Miss ain't all that...The state as a whole didn't show up for football this year. Shack, your Vols got lucky once again. I don't think my Gamecocks are world beaters, but I'd love to see TN loose.

"IF" they can make it through the SEC undefeated, they'll still have a chance. It's highly unlikely, but one can dream. They haven't had a National Champion football team since the Frank Broyles era...1968-69, I believe. Now they were #2 after kicking the Sooner's **** in the Orange Bowl in 1978, I think. Many thought they should have won the championship after that season. It might have been 1976. Roland Sales rushed for 275+/- yards and they won 30-6, iirc.

I was surprised to see they were 13th in the BCS poll, which was the first rankings...they might/should move into the top 10 in the BCS, tommorrow.

I'm worried about Tennessee and LSU, but at least we have them at home this season.

I'd like to see them play again. They might not win, but it would definitely be a different outcome. They didn't start Mustain at QB, against USC, for some reason. He's 6-0 as a starter. He doesn't have to or need to throw a bunch, but when he does, he's very consistent and a freshman.

Vols have shown they are beatable. They are about as lucky as the Irish. If the **** team that showed up against Auburn comes to play, it will be a great game.

    It was '64-65.

The loss to USC week 1 was to be expected. Arkansas hasn't had a team that gelled well since '98-99 when they gave the National Championship to Tennessee. Also, the Razorbacks have the '**** in two weeks in Columbia, Tennessee the week after at home, and end up with LSU in The Rock the day after Thanksgiving. I won't say they'll run the table, because any team in the SEC can beat any other team. Just ask Georgia fans! If they do win out you can bet they'll be ranked no higher than 6/7. Arkansas has never gotten respect from national sports writers or coaches.
