Another power cord question

Hi to all! Have another question on a new piece I received today and would appreciate some help. I got a PS Audio UPC Power Center and the power cord is nowhere near long enough for where I want to put it. Carpet installers will be here first thing in the morning to put the new carpet in and finally move everything back where it belongs. I would like to have this power center in place since I am unable to move that particular piece of furniture on my own. The two guys who were here the other day had trouble moving it because it s so heavy.
Will any power cord work with this? The one that goes with the amp is long enough and I just need to know if it will hurt anything to just swap them out. I do plan to buy a new cord and as usual, I didnt think about it at the time. I am hoping the guy I got my receiver from can make me one tomorrow but even then, I need this before the carpet guys leave. Thanks so much for your help; it's very much appreciated.

Hi Cindy! You should be able to swap the amp cord with it. It will work just fine. I would suggest that you eventually ge another PS Audio cable to power the Power Center. The Prelude would be good, the Statement would be the best. Watch for the sales in Audio Advisor. Check them out online, and go to the "Clearance" items. You can usually find some PS Audio power cables there. Good luck!Carl

Sure, any 3-pronged power cord will work.
I'd suggest just using the stock power cord for a while so you can determine the degree of improvement (or lack thereof) that the UPC is making on its own. Then, if necessary, replace the cord.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

schwarcw, I will check the Audio Advisor site like you suggested and see what I come up with. I will definitely get another cord for it; should I stay with the same brand as the power center or would it be alright to get one from Signal? I am going to get one for the NAD anyway so…
Early B, sorry but I don’t understand what that means.
I was just downstairs getting the new power cord for the CD player in place and everything is such a mess. Those guys unplugged things I would rather they hadn’t and now I have no idea where these cables go. I was so looking forward to getting this back together tomorrow.
Anyway… thanks so much for your help and suggestions. I look forward to hearing back from you if/when you get a chance. Going back downstairs to see what I can do!
