For sale is a pair of light cherry Omega Grande 6 speakers in great condition (9/10). They have less than 100 hours on them.

The Grande 6 is a ported, single-driver bookshelf speaker, and measures 18" H x 8.5" W x 13" D. This model retailed for $799/pr. The driver is a full-range (no crossovers) 6" paper twin-cone Fostex FE 167E with rubber impregnated surround and alloy chassis. It's fully-shielded. Frequency response is 50-20KHz with a sensitivity of 95dB at 8 ohms. These speakers can be driven with flea amps as little as 1.5 watts. The cabinet is hand-made of heavily braced MDF. The grilles are pretty neat -- small round magnets recessed into the grill frame attach the grilles to the speakers. These speakers were designed and made in the USA.

Here’s a couple of reviews of the Omega Grande 6’s:

No pics yet. Hopefully this weekend.

This would be a good buy. I remember auditioning the Omega Super 3R's and be absolutely amazed by their sound quality and sound stage. The Grande 6 also uses Fostex drivers as well, and in a good enclosure, making it perfect for using with a SET amp.

Hope someone picks them up, I would myself if I wasn't already committed to my own Fostex DIY FR speaker system :D
