Noisy music on Monitor 50?

I just bought a pair of Monitor 50. Most music(rock, jazz, classical) sounds great with clarity, spaciousness.

But, some recordings of Arias or violin sound too hard and unnatural. Any suggestions?

Try and biwire them and see if that brings out the natural sound. Also, what are you using to push them? The better the amp the better the sound.

    tedchoi, welcome ....

yes please list the equipment you have.. something may jump out at somone here and be better able to help you tweak the sound of your Monitor 50's. also list speaker wire guage.. ie: 18, 16, 14 guage. and what brand of cables you are using to hook your system up.

What were your previous speakers? Some recordings are just poorly done as well.

I suspect they'll get tamer when they break in. also experiment with placement ...... if they're toed-in, try them straight on, or vice versa.
