OK time to clean up the stack of albums setting beside my computer desk. If anyone is interested let me know, else I'm trading them in at Record Breakers for some CD's!

Kinks - Wish I Could Fly Like Superman / Low Budget - 12" single. Warning - this is their disco single and was great for dorm parties back in college. Has been played a bit, however appears to be in great shape. $5

Kraftwerk - Man Machine - for the techno-rock lovers - jacket in excellent shape, album in protective sleeve, original sleeve included. Played once (maybe!) $5 **** sold to Polk65 ******

McDonald & Giles - McDonald & Giles - somehow associated with King Crimson but I can't remember how - jacket in excellent shape, album in protective sleeve. Played maybe 3 or 4 times. $5

King Crimson - In The Court of the Crimson King - the one with the big ugly face on the cover - jacket in excellent shape - album in protective sleeve. Played about 5 or 6 times. $10 ** sold to DAGLJAM6 **

CSN&Y - Deja vu - import on brown virgin vinyl - played a couple of times. Jacket in excellent shape, album in original sleeve. $10 ****** sold to starchaser *******

Foghat - Stone Blue - import on blue virgin vinyl - jacket in excellent condition, album in protective sleeve. Played 4 to 6 times. $10

And now for the prize!!!!!!!! :):):):):):)

Heart - Magazine - but wait :D I have the album - jacket in excellent shape, album in protective sleeve, original sleeve included. And .......... I have the limited edition picture disk #88073 out of 100,000 - unopened in the original shrink wrap plastic. Now just for my favorite Club Polkies I am going to let the set go for $15  ***** sold to starchaser *******

The small print - if you buy one album, shipping is $3. For those of you who have bought albums from my stash in the past I believe that my packing job speaks for itself! If you buy two or more, shipping is free! Lower 48 only, pm me if I need to ship to AK, HI, or the great white north and we'll work something out. I accept Money Orders only on these.

Props to Doug. A professional packing job which took several minutes of spanking before touching vinyl. Thanks for the free protective covers and the bonus!

Just had to chime in and say.....I love Record Breakers! That has to be one of the best music stores in the country. Everyone I have ever dealt with there has always been very friendly, and helpful. Not to mention extremely knowledgeable.

    OK I'm done....just had to say it.:D

cmy330 - with the Tower Records just a couple of blocks from my office going out of business, Record Breakers is a definite once a month place to stop! Fortunately it's not too far off of my commute home.

I'm not a big fan of chain music stores, but that one was pretty good. My biggest complaint was that lack of vinyl. However to their credit, it was one of the guys there that turned me onto Record Breakers. Of course he had no clue where it was or how to get there, but I managed the rest.:)

Actually the Virgin Megastore on Michigan is pretty nice too. But of course that's WAY out of your commute.

I only go to downtown Chicago if forced into it! Between the NW suburbs and Rockford, there's most of everything you would ever need, with the exception of Saturday Audio and Decibel Audio, and it's usually cheaper to have them ship something to me than to make the drive, find parking, etc! When I bought my NAD receiver for the bedroom from Saturday Audio, I took the train into downtown, took a cab to/from, and then took the reciever back with me on the train. The $20 for shipping would of been a lot cheaper and it would be to my office the next day!

I wish I could have made it to Saturday Audio but the schedule just didn't work last time. Have you been to Decibel lately? Last time I was in there they had just moved a few doors down and they still had drywall dust on everything, and didn't have any sort of carpet or treatments up, so it was kinda like listening in a tunnel. Pretty cool bunch of guys though.
