I just picked up a JVC RX-517V and a Pioneer SA-9500 from school surplus. I can't find any information on the JVC receiver - does anyone know anything about it? Thanks.

Actually, I'm not sure the Pioneer works. That's probably why it was free.

well hope that's not the case.. that thing is a brute.. ;)

if it doesn't work.. still may be worth getting it checked out by a local service electronics dept. Some times it's not worth shipping them out.. amps are expensive to ship back and forth.. esp if it happens to be a simple repair cost.

Nevermind, it works, I'm just retarded. Although, it does have a lot of line noise. I doubt it was taken care of, since it's been sitting in a classroom for 40 years. And it's missing it's wood cover.
