IS this cd player any good??? has anyone heard and used this before what about the dcm380??

I have the DCM280 which is very similar to the 380. I like it so far. The only thing that I don't like is that if you are playing an MP3 CD, it will not push audio out of the digital port, just analog. Something about protecting copyrights. Not sure if all MP3 capable CD players do this or just Denon.
Do you have a DCM380?

Yes.
Check out this thread. The Denon is a good entry level CDP but any of the ones mentioned here will be better than the Denon.

i'm trying to get a quote from a Nad dealor cant afford the 542 i saw the cambridge 340C but no dealor nearby plus i was leaning more towards a changer even though i think that means less quality is that right?? Is the marantz cc4001 better than the denon dcm390Chicomorales:)

The NAD C521bee-C325bee combo with a pair of rti-6's would be nice.
