I believe that they were introduced in '91, but I'm sure someone here knows better than me.

I think I'm picking up the karma from Greorge Grand missing those Adcom 565's $90 a few days ago.

    You ****$ucker!

That's another fricking STEAL on a pair of 2.3TL, just like that pair up in Boston a month or two ago.

Man, your wife won't kill you if you show her the completed auctions for $1000+ and you convince her that you will flip them eventually (hopefully you don't!)

Hopefully the deal pans out and the guy doens't get bombarded with offers for more money!

Be glad he pulled the ad, or you might have found him with a huge case of sellers remorse when you try to pick them up. Nice find!!

Hell if I know... I'll probably start 'em out on the krell kav-300il, because it's easy to carry downstairs, whereas these **** are going to be a **** to get upstairs. At some point, I'll have to let the 4b-sst have a go at them, but lugging that around isn't exactly fun either.

Too bad there isn't a way to use monoblocks with them. My friend & I each have an Adcom 555 with the bridge mono switch.

I am not completely up to par on my SDA history, so I might be off on this, but I'm not sure you can use the Bryston with the SDA's. The 4B is a dual monoblock amplifier design. Again, I might be wrong about the compatibility, so check on that first.

It can be bridge-mono'd so i think I'm ok, but you can bet your **** that I'll check that out before I hook anything up. It's push-pull amps that you've got to watch out for.

Actually this has me thinking- the integrated has a gain of 36db & the adcom has a gain of 27db. Can anyone think of a way to balance these out without just putting an l-pad on the output on the integrated?

    It's official- I now own a pair of SDA-SRS 2.3tl's.

    Condition: Not bad.
Grills: No picks or stains, but they are dusty. Air compressor from the back side & vacuum from the front should fix that.
Tops: Looks like some slight water damage on one. You can't see it, but you can feel it. Otherwise, the veneer looks great.

Drivers: Two mid woofers have their dust caps slightly pushed in. I have managed to pop these out on some other drivers in the past, so I'm not worried. Nothing crunchy and the cabinet is TIGHT. I can push in the PR and I loose patience before the mids sink back in.

Yep I got my $200 worth.

Sound & pics? Have to wait, I'm meeting people for dinner & then I'm gettin' plastered (it's my birthday...)

Nice birthday present. I've had luck sucking out popped dust caps with the small attachment on the vacuum cleaner. Hold the cone while doing it.
