Remote for Cabinet use

Polksters,

I will be getting a new 32" Samsung LCD installed in the bedroom this weekend and want to know the best remote or extender to run my small HT gear from the closet behind the tv, units will be sat bax, dvd, reciever. Any suggestions would help out alot.

    I might suggest getting an MX series remote with an RF base station from Universal Remotes. Or you could get a Harmony 890 to do the same thing.
    That way you would not have to run any wires through walls.

    The other option would be to get a regular universal remote, such as a Harmony, and then get an infrared repeater system from Niles or Xantech. I've used Russound as well, but I've run into some different issues with cable boxes.

    I have a harmonny 520 for my bedroom gear. for $89, looks cool and can be programmed over the computer. Love it so far.
