Just Netflix'd this one and it was fun. The movie was ok but the PQ and the SQ on the DVD was great to watch. Nice bass too.

isn't this one of the movies where the widescreen DVD was screwed up and showed less picture than the full screen?

I wonder if they'll get it right on HD-DVD.

I bought this one, loved the moive.

Phantom, the HD-DVD is the same, it's not screwed up. The moive was shot open matte and then cropped to widescreen, so the 4:3 will show more, but, that is not the directors true vision of the film.
    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

didn't know that. I wonder if that's pretty common or not. If that is common I wish they would allow all WS dvd's to have an option for 16x9 ratio to completely fill up widescreen tv's.
