Amplifying L and R for HT?

Here's my question...
I may very well be purchasing RTi12s in the near future, and will of course want an amplifier for them. My question is, would I want to amplify my center channel as well, as I primarily use surround-sound? As we all know, the center channel is the most important speaker in a surround setup.. In which case, do I get a 5-channel amp for the backs, too? Would it be okay to have a 2-channel until I can afford a 200w 5-channel?
I kind of touched on this question in a previous thread, but didn't really take this part into account. (large L/R and bookshelf center, surround L, surround R) I'd be using a CSi5 center channel with the AVR240 HK receiver.

Yes Dane, you can make do with a 2 channel amp until you can get a 5 channel one.

You will just have to bump up the center channel volume a bit.

All right. Just wanted to make sure my surround sounds wouldn't overpower the dialogue.

    Thanks!
