The guys are right, there is a lot of info in past threads. I have found no difference in the sound. The SACD's have a much more plentiful selection of available titles. There are a lot of good DVD-A's that aren't available on SACD. DVD-A can be a hassle to play. You have to navigate an on screen menu. But they do have the advantage of having a lot of video features like lyrics, pic's of the band and usually a music video or two. Buy a good universal player so you can enjoy them both. On the low end the Oppo has a great player. In the $1 - 2K range there are a lot of good options. I like Marantz myself, but that's just my personal preference. The Denon 2910 is also very good.
Good luck hunting!Carl -
