That's really something. My sister-in-law lives about 6 blocks from there, as I understand it.

I hope there aren't any injuries, but you just know there have to be. Thank God it was a small aircraft; I honestly have to say the damage doesn't look as bad as I had expected, given that a plane flew into the building, but then again I'm sure it looks pretty horrific in person.

"All indications are that it was an accident".

How can they tell, honestly? Here's hoping that's all ti was though. I didn't think small aircraft were really permitted in the Manhattan area... I'd be less surprised if this was a helicopter or something.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

"According to the Associated Press, two have died in the fire."

Says to me that that's in addition to the passengers of the aircraft.

An eyewitness, who happens to be an amateur pilot, said it appeared as though the pilot was desperately trying to reach the airport. So, that supports the idea that it was an accident.

Scary, my first thought was . . .uh oh.

There are all kinds of screwy theories flying around the AM dial like: “Well the Indian bombings occurred on the 11th of the month, the Madrid bombings occurred on the 11th of the month, the Twin Towers occurred 9/11 , what could the 11th mean to 'these' people?"

It looks like we are in for a long bout of mis-information and conspiracy theories.

My prayers are with the families of all involved.

what could the 11th mean to 'these' people?"

"The fifth anniversary of September 11th 2001 is upon us. It is fitting that the day should see both a solemn remembrance of the dead and the renewal of a cold-hearted resolve to win the war that was declared on us.

There is however, another September 11th that we should also remember, and from which we can take heart in our own struggle. It is September 11th 1565; the scene was different and so were the actors too, but the nature of the battle was all too familiar. On that day, a small force of European knights and the entire population of Malta dealt Ottoman Turkey a decisive defeat, and in doing so probably saved western civilization".

"The Battle of Vienna (Turkish: İkinci Viyana Kuşatması) (as distinct from the Siege of Vienna in 1529) took place on September 11 and September 12, 1683 after Vienna had been besieged by Turks for two months. It was the first large-scale battle of the Great Turkish War, yet with the most far-reaching consequences. The battle marked the turning point in the 300-year struggle between the forces of the Central European kingdoms and the Ottoman Empire".
The greatest enemy of truth is very often not the lie - deliberate, contrived and dishonest - but the myth - persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

Excatly. Knock off the speculation. It's been confirmed. IT was Corey Lidle's plane, and all signs point to it was him flying it. JUst an unfortunate accident.
