Just finished Batman Begins, HD-DVD. The blacks are rock solid, deep, dark and detailed, color saturation is excellent, the image is extremely sharp and detailed and the TrueHD track, off the scale. This HD-DVD is flat out excellent.

If you've got an HD-DVD player this is a must!

Rock solid, deep, and dark? Sounds interesting.

What is Batman Beings? Is that a new sequel? Is Christian Bale in that one too?

Yeah, I've been sucking down a few too many Stockyard Stouts.

Ron, how are your getting TrueHD - is it decoded by the player?

Yes, it's decoded by the player and then sent via the 5.1 analog outs to the pre/pro. The player always had 2.0 TrueHD but the firmware update 2.0 allowed for 5.1 TrueHD.

I use the 5.1 analog outs for everything now, even SD-DVDs, I don't use the coax or Toslink cables at all.

How about the movie itself though. I thought it was the best Batman to date.
