Only in America can illegals obtain more rights than natural born citizens.

    WTF!
Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support

Wow. This country really is sad. And what's just as bad is, I got mixed up following the arguments in that article. For something seemingly so black-and-white, that article sure made this instance seem awful fuzzy looking to me.

    I still like FrankZ's solution!! :D

I would be surprised if this is even accepted in court...not a good precedent.

How are non-citizens allowed to even sue? That doesn't make sense to me. Not even taking into account the argument itself - and by the way, Wendy's should be in trouble for hiring them in the first place - how is a non-citizen allowed to bring a suit in an AMERICAN court of law? Our laws do not apply to them.

I had to read that article twice. . . that lawyer was born out of his mother's A-hole.

What an incredible spin doctor. . .IT'S WENDY'S FAULT FOR TRYING TO HELP THEM AND NOT FOLLOWING UP ON TIME???

Wendy's should be sued by the American people for farming out work to illegal aliens probably at half of what a teenager would be paid.

We should take over a 50 mile strip of Mexico adjacent to the US flatten it with bombs and then make it a no man's land with razor wire and land mines like the trenches in WWI. See how the Mexican government would take to that.

It was badly worded. Our Constitutional Protections and RIGHTS do not apply to them, only to citizens. Laws apply to anyone within a juridsdiction.

That is a scary road you're travelling there..

I work for AmeriPride services and we have a TON of Mexican Americans working in our various plants...these immigrants (illegal or not) obtain social security numbers and present them to the HR dept in the plant. The HR dept. can and does spot check these numbers with the SSA. The problem is when you call the SSA to spot check a social security number that is provided, they don't give you any information about the number. They just say whether or not the number is valid or not. If the number is valid, AmeriPride has done all it can to insure its employees are legal...

The problem is a lot of illegal immigrants obtain social security numbers illegally..it already belongs to someone else...like their cousin, brother, or some totally unsuspecting person in another state, which is a MAJOR pain in the arse for that person because the IRS will be contacting them about wages they supposedly earned from AmeriPride (which, of course, that person never worked at AmeriPride)...

    It's a very slippery slope...

I think the "no-mans land" with razor wire and land mines would curtail that sort of behaviour.:D

There's an obvious differnece between knowingly hiring an illegal, IE paying them under the table without tax information, and being duped by a phony social security number. If the company did their due diligence it's one thing. If they knowingly hired illegals, ti's another. There's no slippery slope, just common sense.

This country is getting soft. People will side with the illeagls, you watch. Everyone is left or right now a days. What happend to the middle? Hell, What happend to common sense? I always leaned on the conservative side but now I think they are all nuts.
