30 miles from here on South Jersey Craigslist, all from the same seller.....

TWO Adcom GFA-565 mono's for $90 each
One Adcom GFP-565 pre for $50
One Adcom 555 tuna for $50

I called the guy and he said that they JUST sold. **** me.

I hope the **** doesn't have a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

GG, I just lost out on two NAD 2200 PEs because I was so enthused about getting them that the guy who was selling them decided to keep them for a future rig. The pr!(k didn't even know what he had and isn't really into this obsession we have. Maybe he will get into it and suffer just like the rest of us when the upgrade bug starts chomping at our butts.

I went to a party across the street last summer. They were already playing bocci when I got there. They put me on a team with a girl from the airbase. Little small talk and Georgie boy ends up with two of HER NAD 2200PE's. Seems somebody owed her some money and they paid with those instead. They're LOOOONG gone from here. Nice amps. So, you missed out on 4 of them. You have terrible luck. Quit while you're behind!

I just realized summer is history, so that means it was two summers ago. Time flies.

I ended up with a pretty good hangover cause I drank all my hosts Myers rum. I'm a NICE boy, and that's ALL I ended up with. MON, it was right across the street! Maybe 50 yards from my house. All my neighbors were there. I'm a NICE boy.

RIglehart or something like that from this forum ended up with one of them, and Tentoze ended up with the other.

Yeah, I've missed a pair of mcintosh tube mono's for $200 and a goldtop 1950 something Les Paul for $1500, each by a matter of minutes. Sucks hard, dude.

I have all the equipment I'm ever going to need. It's the thrill of the hunt and the capture that excites me now. That would've been a large check to Githens if I could've scored and flipped that stuff.

I'm rarely disappointed by something "I didn't get"...probably because I have too much STUFF now. It's usually more like..."why the hell did I buy this and where am I going to put it?"

I'm just starting to build up my "collection" of STUFF again. I'm so nuts that I want to buy the Totem Beaks (Afforadable Audio, October) and don't even have my rig hooked up yet!!!

If you find you have too much STUFF let me know what you can let go and I'll probably buy some from you. I'm especially interested in cabling, tweaks, TT set up equipment, power conditioning etc. I'm also in the hunt for a CDP or CD transport and a good phono cartridge . . . a record cleaning machine is also on the short list.
