Can someone tell me the difference between the RTi speakers and the RT? I know the RTi's are newwer but what has changed and how well do they match?
Thanks

SOME rt models already had the trilaminate tweeter (the rt55 and cs400 come to mind), while others had a "lessor" tweeter. With the rti's (except perhaps the rt15i?), you always get the trilam. I started with a pair of rt25s, upgraded 'em to rt35s, and then got a pair of rt25i's for the office. Trust me... you could hear the treble improvement, comparing the rt25i to the rt35. That's not to say that the old tweeters weren't good, either, but the trilam is a bit stronger IMHO.
The rti's also changed the woofers (pretty blue cones), which I believe happened in all models. Since I never could directly compare the rt25 with the rt25i, I can't give a personal opinion, but those rt25i's are GOOD for such small speakers! I'm sure that new woofer helped.
When you ask how well they match, I wouldn't hesitate to, say, move some rt's to the rear and get rti's for the front. I wouldn't put an rt on the left and an rti on the right, though. -
In addition to the improved mid/woofer material (blue cones), the RTi series also featured improved crossovers and real wood finishes. Matching shouldn't be a problem.

I own 2pairs of RT25s. I been searching around to get a matching center channel for it. I been told that the only real difference is in the tweeters, although drivers are different (blue for i series, it is mostly cosmatic.
