I can't believe I can finally get my supply on these. I got my first listen on them when Russ gave me one for the Golden Tube Audio pre amp. I've been looking for them on ebay but couldn't find any.

Well, thetubesore.com just got them in. If you're in the mood to roll some 6DJ8, they're very good.
They have a nice soft sound that lack dynamics, but sounds very, very good on vocals and soft material. Warm and very smooth and lush. I know some of you guys are searching for this type of sound. Get them while you still can. http://thetubestore.com/nos-6dj8.html

That's awesome. I really love that tube. Not something you'd want to listen to everyday but is one of the best when you're in the mood. Getting my GTA back soon. Can't wait to fire up the GE.

I haven't tried the JJ long plate 12AU7. I can't find any info anywhere. Can you provide a link? I know they just released gold pin versions of the U7, X7, T7 and 6922. The only long plate JJ I can find is the ECC803S. I've had excellent experience with the JJ U7. Would love to give the long plate version a try.

I couldn't find much info to the JJ ECC802S. It seems they are new from JJ. AES has the it at 9.95 a pop 'til end of Oct:

Thanks for the link. I think I'm gonna give them a try too. Wonder which tube they're modeled after? Plate construction looks just like the 803S which is said to be the biggest 12AX7. Should be interesting.

The long plate 803S is 11.95 a piece. AES has a few JJ tubes on sale, the "short plate" gold pin 12AX7 is 14.95 now - the lowest price I have seen so far.
