Bose 501 Speakers For Sale - $60

I wonder what these sound like. Has anyone ever heard them? For 60 bucks they must have been one step away from donating them to the thrift store but the book value is only $145 so not that great a deal but they look nice.

Those and the 601s are the only Bose I've ever heard that I'd allow into the house, even if just to test them out before being broke down into kindling.

If they are in nice shape, I'd say go for it, if just for the experience. A Bose freak will pay you that or more for them...IF they ar in nice shape.

Strong Bad

These were the only Bose that impressed me back in the day (80's). They had some substance to them! BUT, the 80's were the last time I heard them (a neighbor used to have them) and my tastes and ears have changed. Their smaller brothers, the 501's and 301's from the same series were ok.

It all went downhill terribly after the 80's!
