Any Ol'school Metallica music metal heads here!

You guys and gals have to check out the new Trivium album. Saw them twice earlier this year. The lead singer turned 20 a couple months ago when i saw them in Vages. They mix alot of ol'school metal sound in the new album. Testament and Overkill type skills. Way too much talent for such a young band - they hit the scene straight out a high school (battle of the bands). The Crusade hits stores Tuesday.

    Are you serious?

    I'm a lifelong OLD Metallica fan. Kill 'em All, Ride The Lightning, and Master of Puppets - those three albums are THE blueprint for how 'metal' is done, and the sound all the young up and comers REALLY need to pay attention to, if they want any sort of staying power in that genre.

    Serious about what? That is what i'm saying these guys worship bands like ol'Metallica. That is what they are respecting. Give the band a listen before making a strange judgemnet. They did REALLY pay attention, that is the whole point. The guys have about as much staying power as you can get. They landed OZZFEST off there first album. The sound of the new one wasn't by accident.
    There is a bold world of music out there, don't disclaim everthing in the past twenty years.

    That's how I took it broham, I wasn't passing judgement - just saying (for me), that bar is set pretty high - so it must be REALLY good.

    Took a listen to all the videos on the link, these boys have got a good shot.

    .....as long as they don't drift over into a total Speed-Metal-Industrial thing.
