I've been doing some research on a new receiver for my home theatre, and this digital receiver has come to my attention. I am curious if anyone has any experience with this, or can shed any light on this piece of equipment? I've heard nothing but good things about it, apparently it has quite the following.
I was also looking at a Denon AVR-587, which is pretty impressive on paper. Anyway, trying to find something in my budget (around $300-$500CDN) that will go well with my current speakers (also something to tone-match my centre).
Mains: R30s
Surrounds: R15s
Centre: CSi3
Subwofer: CENSORED (Need to upgrade )

I went around town today looking at different receivers, and I came across the Denon AVR-1507. The price of the receiver is $499.99CDN, although I managed to talk the seller down to $425.00CDN with taxes included, so this is obviously a great deal.
However, the only thing that has me straying from purchasing a receiver right now is the fact that I need to match my centre channel in tone to my mains. I know there is tone control for trebble and bass on this Denon receiver, however I'm unsure if this option is available to each individual channel instead of all at once. Does anyone have experience with these receivers and can let me know?
I'm still interested in the Panasonic due to its quality of sound though, however I've read that there are no settings for sound adjustment that you would find in your average analogue receiver. If this is the case, I'm not interested at all.
Anyway, this Denon is looking very promising, especially considering that I will save $150CDN on it."The visionary lies to himself, the liar only to others." -Friedrich Nietzsche -
Generally, bass and treble controls only affect the left and right front channel only. And looking at the owner's manual of the XR57, that's the case with this receiver as well.
BTW, you can read up on the XR57 at the below link....
