Hope your reciever didn't say NEO - you are missing out on the real sound. NEO is a DSP has nothing to do with a dvd release.
Yes, DTS ES is amazing. My 7 channel system loved this movie. I did crack some dry wall tonight with this one. Also got Infinifilm A Nightmare on Elm Street with DTS ES, it looks and sounds great.

i have a question. why do dts movies decode neo instead of es. although i love the way dts makes my movies sound. since neo6 is primarily for music. why aren't more movies encoded with es instead of neo6. and i have a 7 ch set up so should i not use my back surrounds when watching movies?

That is what i am trying to tell ya. For some reason your reciever is defaulting in NEO. Your reciever should be in DTS mode during DVD playback. NEO is a DSP.
My reciever for example will read DTSdiscret6.

The hard candy girl was way over forced in your face in this movie and had no relivence. She is suppose to be the new young "american idol" of hollywood.

Not to impressed with how the movie played out but it was entertaining.

No, only if they are recorded in DTS-ES. If the DVD is recorded in DTS (5.1) then your receiver should indicate DTS.

Break out your manual and check your default settings via the the OSD or front panel display.

I don't think so. It's got some dick and **** humor, and it's probably too violent.

Yeah, I think the swearing only cropped up 2 or 3 times, but other than that it's pretty tame. Then again at 4 they may not pick up on it? Dunno, don't have any kids yet.

I can only remember dickhead being said once and **** being said twice. But I wouldn'tlet my 7 and 9 year olds watch this one. I did let them watch the first two, but I don't recall any adult language in those.

I was excited to get this dvd & watch the different endings but they were pretty lame. I was hoping for more of a butterfly effect type alternate ending. And dont get too hyped up about deleted scenes, some of them are the exact same accept a growl inserted or a different curse word used.

Ya, I was pretty let down with this flick. Good sound, but nothing to ride home about.

What, 93 minutes long? Common, at least make it Feature Length!!! Overall, I felt like they tried to squish an entire plot into a very short time frame. Wasn't impressed. Ellen Page (Hard Candy girl), though she wasn't really an intricate part of the plot, did do a fine job acting. And I did like the "other" side of Jean Grey...

6 outta 10 here. Worth a rental, but only a buy if it's given to complete the trilogy :D

Then with the ending, and the part after the credits, I was like... so is it over or not? They try to string you along.

If there is a forth, I will be very put out... ha

I saw this in the theater and I liked it. What I didn't understand is how Cyclops was disinigrated and killed off and but Prof X somehow reassembles.......anyway..........maybe there will be a fourth, and I"ll be setting it too.

Not as good as the first two but a good watch none the less. Am I the only one who found Jean hot when she went Phoenix?

I was wondering what the difference was, if any, by picking the bad guys or the good guys before you could start the movie. Also, I thought that the DTS-ES 6.1 version rocked. Plenty of serious bass.

    I liked it...

Yet I didnt feel like I was watching the 3rd installment of the XMen trilogy...

Did they start over or something? Completely different feel than the other two. Was interesting... a lil more comic booky than before - but a good movie overall none the less.

I watched both and didn't notice any difference. The same thing was used in "Chronicles of Riddick" and I noticed no difference there either.
