You should stand outside of work for the next couple of days, just for a couple minutes and stare inside....when they see you, just nod your head, smile and walk away.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

No company likes the environmental protecton agency on them......

EDIT: not really gonna do this.....just was furious when I made this post ;)

:( Does this mean no more vinyl? Or, you could sneak out to where they dump it all and still salvage it! :p

But on a more serious note, I'm sorry to hear you've lost your job. Hope you can find another one soon.

I doubt they are actually doing anything illegal unless they are going out an burying stuff or dumping it into a stream/river.

If its going to a landfill, its fine. There is a broad exemption for household hazardous waste. Virtually anything in the home can go to a permitted landfill without breaking any rules. (that is assuming it is something that should be in the home in the first place.)

Also, OSHA doesn't govern disposal, it is for workplace safety.

Most of our compliants come from disgruntled workers, and they almost never pan out.

I'm so sorry you lost your job especially someone like you who has proven themself to be such a generous guy.

Just a note. My brother works for an A-hole has for 7 years. The owner of the company has been effing his employees for 10 years. He just fired a guy for no cause (he trump up obvious BS that other employees are willing to dispute). Long story short he had been doing some very illegal business practices. The guy he just fired hired a lawyer and sicked the FEDS on him. . . stands to loose thousands that he screwed his employees out of and pay the government loads of fines as well as get this: He has a dental lab. all the extra gold dust and shaving for crowns that his customers have paid for he collects and has made into gold bars and hidden in a safe deposit box. . .. the safe deposit box has been seized and put on hold as evidance by the FEDS. Talk about what goes around comes around!!!

Anyhow if you were fired unjustly you should do something about it. You are a young guy and really at this point in your life have nothing to loose by it.

Again sorry to hear you were fired,
    Joe

Edit:Wow I just read this post and my grammar is atrocious!

Just curious. Did you get fired for selling stuff that was to be disposed of at the landfill? ie: Vinyl albums here on the fourm?

They are cutting freon lines in fridges and AC's, releasing the freon to atmosphere and then scrapping the fridges at the junkyard for $$

Man, capturing and correctly disposing of freon...is a chore. And I bet you that at least 95% of the folks who are supposed to...don't.

Slow your roll... take a deep breath. No need to take it to this level.
Make sure they're not baiting you, as well.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Well, good news. I called the Attorney General, told them I was threatened to have the police called if I came to pick up my final paycheck after being terminated yesterday. They must have made a call because I received a call back stating that my check was ready to be picked up.

I can't wait to be done with this company.

Good luck with your own business, too. I can't imagine how much foresight and planning that would require.

Don't expect it to happen overnight. I've watched others and it seems to take a good 5 to 7 years of full time attention to become comfortable and a couple more years to become really profitable.

    Good luck!
