Hey, I'm really wanting to audition the polk lsi series and no one sells lsi here it the twin cities. Anyone in the surrounding area have the speakers and are willing to let me audition them!? Thanks a bunch.

Aren't you the person from the HTGuide that was looking to building something? I was following your thread. Have a change of heart?

I recommend driving down to Mankato and visiting Degrood's. They carry the Lsi line. They also sell B & K components. These speakers sound absolutely wonderful hooked to B & K separates. I live in Iowa and have made the 6 hour round trip more than once to buy equipment. Their prices are very reasonable. Ask for Kevin if you call.
    HT Setup
    Samsung - HL-61A750 61" LED DLP
    Samsung - BD-P2550 Blu-Ray Player

This spring I bought a pair of Lsi9's and the PSW1000 sub. Each piece was $200.00 cheaper than online and at my local dealer in Des Moines. The $400.00 savings was well worth the drive. I am now dealing on the B&K Reference 200.7 Series II Amp and Reference 50 Series II Pre/Pro. Again they are about $600.00 cheaper than my local dealer in Des Moines.

i heard the polk lsi9s and 25s..wow impressed...it definatly kept up with paradigm 90s or whatever if not better...very impressed...I might pick up a pair of the 9s...cost around $630 online for a pair, it was over a grand for the pair at the makato store...wow was I impressed..do you think it might sound not so good with 2 lsi15s, 2 lsi9s, and a lsi center as opposed to 4 lsi 9s and a lsi center...would that throw it off? If I got 2-15s, I'd power the subs with a different amp..then buy like a rotel for everything else (9s/15s/center)...what do you guys think? what'd sound best? of course I'm guessing the 15s/9s would sound best...yea I think I might pull that off...I've heard of people liking the center channel more then 9s, anyone used lsi center as surrounds? Probably end up buying a rotel-RB-1095 and a rotel-RB-1050

Congrats on hearing them! They are good speakers!

15s beat 9s for sure... but at the cost of space, $$, and difficult resale (due to size).

    You choose.

BTW, I have 1 month old 9s that I'm about to put on ebay. If ur interested... pm me.

Glad you got to hear them. I am running 9's for the front, LsiC for the center and 7's for the rears. I have an extra set of 7's to setup a 7.1 system when I get separates shortly. I think my current setup sounds great and I can’t wait to get a properly powered amp on these things. They will sound fantastic.

I am not sure where you are looking online, but more than likely they will not be covered under Polk’s warrantee if it is not from an authorized dealer. Some of the online dealers actually sell the speakers with the serial numbers scratched out or removed. Polk is rather picky about warrantee coverage from non-authorized dealers. I was able to get the 9’s for $800.00. I had been looking at them on eBay for $6??.00. These speakers were new, but didn’t have serial numbers.

Hey - when you wire the polk lsi15s, can you wire it so that you can power the subs with one amp and the other stuff with another amp? I'm pretty sure biamping doesn't work like that but I was just checking.

Also - I was thinking about the connection between my DVD/CD player and receiver...what will sound best? Doing the individual connection for every speaker or should I just use the optical connection...? Which one is the best!?

if you got some money, you can buy them through crutchfield.com and then return them..they pay for shipping both ways and have no restocking fee..err they do that on most items..can try that if you can't find a polk dealer around there

Well in probably about a full month or so we'll be fully moved down to KY. The closest (so far) to me is zombie boy 2000 in Louisville. I'd have to ask my fiance how close Louisville would be to us, cause KY is where she knows.
