Is there much of a difference between these car speakers. The POLK site rates both at 4.5 stars? I just got another car and was getting ready to buy 4speakers as soon as my new radio comes in. I can buy the MOMO's on ebay for $125/pr while the db's are$110/pr (Circut City wants $149/pair for the db's.) Sounds like a no-brainer to me but was just curious about the difference in sound?

There is a huge difference. I had the 6x9's in my truck for a while and absolutely loved them! They are my favorite coaxial Polk makes.

    Mac,

Can you expand on that? I own the mmc690's and was looking to go with the db's for the front, since they're shallower and should fit my car. Spec-wise, not too much to get excited about, so what about the sound? Can you give a brief verbal comparison on how you felt each sounds? In my case, it's not the $$$, but the mount depth...

The Momo's have a more natural sound to them than the DB's which tend to be a little brighter. Also the Momo's have better bass response and more detail to them. I also think theyre smoother sounding which is good if youre listening to a lot of heavy metal or anything with screechy guitars.
