What do you mean? Is it gonna take 6 months to build the speakers or are you on a payment plan?

BTW -- a most excellent decision!

If I had the space, I'd own those speakers right now.

Six months will be here before you know it.

Sid - what type of finish do you plan to get?

Also, for aesthetic purposes, ask Ty to provide you with a longer pair of speaker grilles that cover the entire front baffle.

Sid, what made you decide to get the Taylo 7U over the Linbrook System II?
The greatest enemy of truth is very often not the lie - deliberate, contrived and dishonest - but the myth - persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

    Taylo over Linbrook?

Ty gave me a better deal... that and I am a huge fan of dual midbasses. I have not owned to many single midbass speakers that I like. The extra mids that driver gives you is nice...

That and I plan to get two subs one day - so no real need for a woofer on my mains...

I kind of like the 80% grill coverage to be honest with you...

And I most likely will get a Walnut finish, since my TV stand is going to have Walnut accents. However, I am going to ask Ty to send me a sample of all their standard finishes...

    Im excited...

    Early,
I just now realized the grill only covered the drivers...

Interesting, I emailed Ty requesting a grill that covers atleast 80% of the speaker...

I do too.. but I plan on getting a walnut type finish...darker...

    Cant wait.

That finish there is like a 250-300 dollar option... way beyond my budget!

Yeah, the Taylo Reference Monitors. Can't afford the 7u's -- I'm not independently wealthy like you are.

By the way, you need to prepare to play those 7U's with the best speaker cables, interconnects, and power center you can get your hands on. Everything matters.

I predict your musical tastes will change dramatically once you hook those puppies up. Consider it the "GIGO effect."

No internal pics. No way am I gonna screw around with removing the drivers.

I'm a big fan of Audioquest. Look no further for speaker cables. Don't go cheap. The AQ Bedrock is an excellent product for not a lot of loot.

I have pretty much committed myself to Frank at Signal Cable... just because of him as a person, his CS, support to CP, yada yada...

Probally will get the Ultra double run...

I just cant personally see myself spending over 150 for speaker cables...

For that budget you can get Bedrocks. Check audioadvisor's clearance section periodically.

I've had Frank's cables and the Bedrocks, and I'm tellin' ya, go with AQ. Huge difference, my friend.

    Thanks for the recs...
