Help me choose new speaker wire

Well it has come time to upgrade my crap 16awg wire to something more appropriate to my HT. I have found 10awg and 8awg wire. I am wondering if the 8awg is too overkill. I will be soldering banana plugs on the ends of the wire. Here are the 3 products, 8awg, 10awg, 12awg. Which do you guys reccomend as being more than enough for my HT?

14 awg or less should be sufficient.....
(in the case of extra long runs, 12 would be icing)
That being said, 8awg would not be overkill in the sense that it wouldn't hinder performanceI never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

I used 10ga for my HT but it really is overkill, I am sure decent 12ga. would have been fine. (then again - now I don't have to worry about it and it really wasn't that much more.....)
One other thing to keep in mind, the 10ga cable (at least from blue jeans cable) is pretty stiff stuff. If you have to do any sharp bends when routing it, I would go with 12ga. I would not go 8ga at all - I just don't think there will be ANY benefit and it could be a hinderance in the size of the cable and the limited flexability.
Good Luck.

Belden 5000UE (Gray JAcket, 12 AWG) 0.36/ft.
I ran 12 AWG for my surrounds and used the 10AWG for the mains and center.
