how does power amp affect sub amps

I have decided to setup a sub using the speaker connections.

AV receiver has preouts and A/B front connections for the fronts.

Currently, I have a power amp connected to the Preouts driving the fronts and the sub connected to the "A" front on the AVR.

Question? - What affect would wiring the subs to the power amp have on the woofer amp? Sub has only an 80watt amp i think. Would the sub ignore the 200 watts generated by the power amp.

Assumption is that I can wire the sub to the same power amp terminals as the fronts.

Jab, lets again start off with a little discussion of terminology: if as you say the sub is currently connected to the A speaker terminals of your 757, then that's already a speaker-level, rather than line-level, connection. If you mean that you're proposing to instead wire the sub to your separate power amp, there's no advantage in doing that. The input impedance at the speaker-level inputs of your sub is in the tens of thousands of ohms. When the impedance is that high essentially zero power gets through, just the music signal information. The internal amplifier in the sub remains entirely responsible for powering it; the power of the receiver or separate amplifier connected to the sub is irrelevant.
