I know there's only a few CoF fans in here but I thought I'd mention this. If you're planning to get the new album "Thornography", pre-order it from www.newburycomics.com Those who pre order will receive autgraphed cd booklets signed by the band members. Limited qty, so order now!
I placed my order for 2 copies. I'm keeping the other one sealed. Release date is Oct 13.

Anyways, just thought I'd let the CoF fans know. Oh yeah, if there's any Amon Amarth fans in here, get the new album "With Oden on our Side". Amazing music. Very brutal like their older albums and with kick **** sound quality.

Long Live CoF!!!

    Scott,
Thanks for the link. Sounds like it's going to be a great album. I like how some parts reminds me of songs from "Nymphetamine". I wonder if the other songs use more keyboards like past albums.

That's a cool pic. Is Pinhead going to make an appearance as guest vocalist on this new cd? He was awesome on the last record.

I went to see Kamelot last night(saw them back in Dec too). WHOOOOOOAAAA!!! Amazing show. Opening bands were Borealis and Epica. Both with hot women on vocals. The music was amazing. Very much like a mixture of Kamelot and Nightwish (fantasy, symphonic, etc metal). Very operatic stuff. I purchased both albums after the show. You should definitely check them out.

    Yikes:eek: !

    I'll take door #1. :)

I only recently discovered Kamelot and Nightwish. Haven't got to listen to much yet, but so far so good! I've been listening to Iced Earth, All That Remains, Dark After Dawn, and Primal Fear lately. I know some of these bands have big underground followings, but I'd never heard of any of them until just a few months ago. Trying to broaden my horizons some. :) I was just listening to Amon Amarth today as well. Not really my kind of vocals, but the music is great.

    Fireshoes,
That's awesome. You won't believe what kind of style you'll find with these lesser known metal bands. However, I feel Nightwish and Kamelot are the best of the best when it comes to fantasy/epic/symphonic metal. You should check out Therion ("Lemuria/SiriusB" double cd). They're, IMO, are one of the most talented band out there. Metal group with a full blown orchestra and choir. That was one of my fav release of 2004.

    Scott,
VS the World is also a great song to break your neck with. I love AA.
