Its official, someone is out to get me. For the third time I have put the same PSP on ebay, and for the third time someone wants me to ship it to Nigeria. I told em to eff off and emailed the next guy on the list. He never responded, couple days later i got this:

"Dear exalted512 (exalted512@gmail.com),

The results of the following listings have been cancelled due to bidding activity that took place without the account owner's authorization:

200026334677 Sony PSP 7 games 4 movies logitech speakers NO NIGERIA!

We have temporarily suspended the bidding account and we are working with the account owner to prevent any additional unauthorized activity. Since the account owner did not initiate these bids, fees resulting from the listings in question have been credited to your account.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to automatically relist these items for you. Instead, to relist these items you will need to start from the beginning of the listing process, either through the "Sell Your Item" process or through your third party listing service. We know that this is an inconvenience and we apologize for the negative impact it may cause you. We are working on tools to allow you to relist your items without starting from the beginning, but they are not available at this time.

Do not respond to this email, as your reply will not be received. If there are issues that have not been addressed by this message, you can contact us by clicking the "Help" link located at the top of most eBay pages and selecting "Contact Us" from the menu on the left hand side of the page.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety "

Not really sure what it means...but they deleted the whole page so i cant even go back and see who all bid on it to offer it to them...this **** blows...

EBay is getting scary.... i haven't done much selling or buying there this year. People hijacking your accounts is very common on Ebay now.

the Nigeria emails/bids you get are just spam... i delete them whenever someone asks me "can you ship to their ___ foreign country". OR How much is shipping to Krakaccistan? First off.. i've never heard of your damn country.. secondly.. it would cost most then you make in a year to ship it there. :p

Emails to them always bounce back an undeliverable. :D

Sounds like someone hijacked one of your bidders accounts.. and so Ebay is canceling their bids for them... since they didn't actually make the bid themselves.

Did you contact any of the bidders for your items?

What did Nigeria ever do to deserve this bad rap anyway? :(

    So is your account suspended?

Ebay is not a bad place, but common sense should apply. The way people get passwords is through spam emails that look damn real and require one to click on a fake auction number followed by logging in. I assume the spammers have tracking programs that get the login info.

I've done a fair amount of buying and selling on eBay. Over 100 transactions and have really only ever had a few problems. I look at it this way. If I went to a hundred different stores I would probably have just as many issues.

Recently I tried selling an old cell phone and a bogus bidder snipped the auction then canceled his account. Either he was out to get people from the beginning or he was just trying to get me back for not agreeing to sell it to him under the table. That so far this the worst thing to happen to me on eBay. (fingers crossed)

when you can show me where i/we can find prices up to 50% off retail and hard to find, oop items and vintage stuff besides e-bay, i'm all ears...

If we could easedrop on the stories from the back room of retail stores we would never shop there either..

Its good, it's bad... I have a large list of blocked bidders on my blocked bidder list in "my e-bay" you can start one also and help when you see the same names bidding or messing with your listings.. If someone e-mails me and gives me a hard time... On the blocked list asap.. That simple..

I would be a liar to say after 8 years ive had zero problems... however ive never had my account hacked, never received a negative and never outright got shafted out of money... It is what it is

My first two transactions on eBAy were both scams. First was a VPI Aries Scout, I lost the bid but the seller contacted me "via eBay" to give me a second chance. It was my first eBay transaction and I almost got scammed out of $1250. By luck I had just got done reading eBay's warning on Western Union when the seller guaranteed my purchase through WU. I reported it.

The next week I won a bid on a Mark Levinson 333 power amp for $3300. This guy put me through this long intricate scam that I almost fell for, I was one click away from sending this creep the money when he emailed me that his Paypal account was down and would I mind sending the money to a third party who would hold it until I received the amp and told the third party that everything was okay.

My first two eBay experiences and I almost got screwed. Since then I educated myself on doing business on eBay and have found it a great way to save money on audio hardware & software.

i've got 162 positive feedbacks.. and zero negs or neutrals. i've completed more than 162 transactions too... some of my buyers or sellers are repeats.. so my feedback should prob be closer to 180 by now. but who's counting, right? ;)

I bought some sunglasses that were 50% off retail recently. My gf was sure they were fake and tried to tell me they weren't polarized, weren't authentic RayBans, etc.

So, I took them to Sunglass Hut, compared them to the $200 ones there, and even had the guys working there look at them. They told me there were 100% real and were a little disheartened I got them for half price :)

Really restored my faith. If you're getting screwed on ebay, in most cases you should be able to see it coming. Also, you can sort by local items and pick them up/pay in person. Always a good safeguard and saves on shipping :)

Just got myself some sweet golf clubs off there too, Cleveland TA7's for under the starting bid, and a Polk CS2 for under it's starting bid with no problems.
