Hello everyone, I'm hoping you can help me out. I recently decided to upgrade and simplify my system. I sold my Denon 3806 receiver that was acting as a preamp and my Rotel RB-991 amp (which is actually still for sale). Now I'm looking for a used integrated amp in the sub $2000 range to drive my Martin Logan Aeon i's. Help me out!
Audigon has some that I'm interested in:
--Musical Fidelity A5
--Bel Canto Evo 2i
--Classe CAP-151
--PS Audio GCC 250
--Jungson A-88D
Any thoughts on the above or others? I'm hoping to see a big improvement from the Denon/Rotel combo, so let me know your thoughts.
Thank you!

A short list of options I might suggest to look at:
Bryston B60-aprox $2000 new
Bryston B100-aprox $2000 used(with good warranty)
YBA 201-aprox $1500 new
Other than that, I would be happy with any of the choices you have researched as well.Tschüss

I'm very pleased with the PS Audio GCA-250/GCP-200 combo I'm running. The integrated control amp series contains the same componentry/circuitry. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the GCC series driving any speaker. And, yes, I think it would deliver a big improvement over the Denon/Rotel combo.

Add the following to your list to consider, although any of those you've mentioned are good to consider too:
Krell KAV-400XI
Plinius 9200
Perreaux 200iP
Ayre AX-7E
You'll have to be quick on the trigger if you want to find some of those used though. $2K will buy a lot of integrated amp, much better than using a receiver. -
Here is my 2 cents...of the choices mentioned here I have auditioned the Bel Canto eVo2i and the Perreaux 200iP; I have also auditioned the Plinius 8200 Mk I and II, but not the 9200.
And before I started auditioning integrateds my system was a Rotel 990 amp (pretty much the same as a 991) and 995 preamp.
I prefered the Plinius 8200 Mk I to the Mk II, and either to the Perreaux...but the Bel Canto was clearly superior to all of them, and resides in my system today. It is wonderfully smooth, powerful and dynamic at the same time throughout the range and at all volume levels (most other amps, including the Rotel, seem to need some volume to open up), with a holographic soundstage.
Or put another way, I have absolutely no desire to continue auditioning amps, the Bel Canto has satisfied me completely. And I got it as a dealer demo (w/warranty) for $1675, which leaves you a little left over from your budget. Oh, and yes it was a big improvement over the Rotel equipment.Steve Carlson
