Hi all, I am new to this forum and just wanted to get some opinions on a wall bracket that will work with the Polk RTi6 bookshelf speakers. If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Cole

Hi Colejusteen and welcome to the Club Polk Forums. I used to have the RTi6's. They are real nice. I did not have them mounted to the wall but there are a lot of folks that have. Just be sure the bracket can accomodate the weight of the speakers. Maybe some others will jump in with their experience with wall brackets. Welcome!

I have had mine for about 3 years now and I just love them, they compliment my RTi8's very well. The bracket I am mainly looking at is the B-Tech 77 bracket, and is supposed to hold like 50 pounds. My concern is that it says the maximum depth of the speaker should be 13 inches, the RTi6's are 14 1/4 inches. I have shot Polk Audio an e-mail along with B-Tech an e-mail. Hopefully I will be able to get an answer between these three resources. Thanks again!

These are kind of big to mount on a wall. I'd recommend a stand.

Cole - The B-Tech bracket is excellent and very versatile should you change speakers down the road. The RTi6 is fine for that bracket. You will not get as much adjustment as you would with a <13 speaker, but it will certainly hold it.

WallStreet - They are not that large.

I appreciate all the comments, I decided to go ahead and order the B-Tech 77. I will let you know what I think of them. The part I am not looking forward to is cutting into my sheetrock and running the wire discretely. Thanks again.

I've got a pair of these. I can't picture them stuck on a wall as a surround, they're too deep. Maybe as a front or back.

These are my rear speakers. I think if I mount them high enought it will work out just they way I want it. i will let you know what I how it turns out.

It's application dependent, for sure, but the bracket serves it's purpose. If speaker stands were an option, he would have asked for recommedations don't ya' think? Not everyone has the option of floor space and there is nothing wrong with a directional speaker for surround effects.
